Service delays to and from many countries. During these challenging times, Australia Post is working hard to deliver your parcels. Current volumes however exceed even our busiest Christmas period and we are processing close to two million parcels a day.

This heavy volume coupled with significantly reduced flights and the impact of social distancing in our facilities has led to delays. For those sending or waiting on international parcels, please be aware that there are significant delays to many destinations due to limited flights and government restrictions. Impacts to the United States of America, New Zealand, Germany and France are significant with severe delays being experienced. Where airline capacity does become available, we continue to prioritise Express Parcels.

Our National Gemstone is nature's. Work of art and each piece is unique.

From the Australian outback - Winton, Koroit, Yowah, Eromanga and Quilpie. Cut and polished, ready to Set.

Size: 25 mm x 15 mm x 5 mm thick. Australian opal is found in an area that was the edge of a mighty inland sea and where once there was lush vegetation and dinosaurs roamed. Over time the sea evaporated and left behind the opal, filling the voids in rocks over millions of years. When the rocks are extracted from the earth they show nothing of what lies inside and only when you break them open do they reveal their true beauty. Boulder opal is a type of opal that forms within the cavities of ironstone boulders in both vertical and horizontal cracks. It is cut with the ironstone remaining on the back and is classified as solid opal. It occurs over a wide area of Western Queensland from North of Winton to south of Quilpie.

It is the second most valuable Australian opal after black opal. When looked at from the side you can always tell a genuine solid boulder opal by the natural imperfect line where the opal filled the void in the boulder. Boulder opal is finished in many different shapes rather than the traditional oval of many other stones and as such is more unique and interesting. It is famous for its brightness and variety of colours with all the shades of other types of opal and can be dark or light body tone.

We will then send you a combined invoice and post together in one package. We only charge what Australia post charges us and will include as many items in one package as possible.
